Numa declaração televisiva, o primeiro-ministro da Ucrânia disse ter pedido a demissão e que o fará formalmente na terça-feira, no Parlamento.

O primeiro-ministro da Ucrânia, Arseny Yatseniuk, pediu a demissão do cargo, e anunciou-o este domingo na já habitual mensagem semanal na televisão.
"Tomei a decisão de me demitir de primeiro-ministro da Ucrânia, Terça-feira, 12 de Abril, o meu pedido será submetido ao Parlamento", declarou, citado pela Reuters.
O pedido formal de demissão será submetido ao parlamento na próxima terça-feira, acrescentou. Yatseniuk tinha derrotado uma moção de censura parlamentar em Fevereiro, mas dois partidos tinham saído da coligação governativa em protesto. O governo ucraniano, diz a Bloomberg, está sob fortes críticas devido à degradação da situação económica e ao lento progresso de reformas consideradas importantes, o que aliás levou a um atraso no recebimento de uma tranche da ajuda do FMI num programa de resgate de 17,5 mil milhões de dólares.
"Tomei a decisão de me demitir de primeiro-ministro da Ucrânia, Terça-feira, 12 de Abril, o meu pedido será submetido ao Parlamento", declarou, citado pela Reuters.
Na emissão televisiva, o ainda primeiro-ministro disse que "a crise política no país foi criada artificialmente. O desejo de mudar uma pessoa cegou políticos e paralisou a sua vontade política para uma mudança real".
A Reuters diz que era esperado que o partido do presidente Petro Poroshenko (BPP - Bloco Poroshenko) e o Frente Popular de Yatseniuk anunciassem a formação de uma nova coligação na próxima semana.
Na sua intervenção, Yatseniuk garantiu que o seu partido estava comprometido com a coligação e, segundo a Bloomberg, aparentou entregar o poder a Volodymyr Groysman, porta-voz parlamentar e aliado do presidente.

This would be inevitable, if after this resignation a new Government of Ukraine is not selected immediately. Having done everything to ensure stability and continuity of our course, I declare my decision to transfer the obligations and responsibilities of the Head of Government of Ukraine.Both of the last two Cabinets were unique. They were the first manifestations of New Ukraine.
